How To Find The Expression Number

Each letter in the alphabet is given a corresponding number.  Refer to the table below:

Write down your full name (in your birth certificate or passport) and place the appropriate number to each letter.

Add all the numbers to your first name and reduce it to a single digit (with except of Master Number 11 and 22).  Do the same for your middle name and last name.  Add the 3 single digits number together and reduce it to a single digit.  That will be you Expression Number

Let’s look at an example:

Name: Tom Andrew Barnett

T(2)       O(6)      M(4)      Total =  12/3

A(1)       N(5)       D(4)       R(9)       E(5)       W(5)     Total = 29/11 (Not reduce further)

B(2)       A(1)       R(9)       N(5)       E(5)       T(2)       T(2)       Total = 26/8

Expression Number : 3+11+8 = 22 (Master Number, not reduced)

In the example above, Tom Andrew Barnett has an expression number of 22.

Soul Urge Number

Soul Urge Number is sometimes referred to the Heart’s Desire Number.  Soul Urge Number is your inner most longings.  These longings are expressed in those matters which seem most important to you. These important matters are influential in determining your perspective, principle which you act upon.  It influences the choices you make in life.  In short, the Soul Urge Number is a person’s inner motivation, what the person wants to be, to have and to do.

How To Find The Soul Urge Number

To find the Soul Urge Number, add the numerical value of the vowels of each of the names, reduce them to single digit.  Add all the single digit together and reduce them to a final single digit, which is the Soul Urge Number.  As with the Expression Number, do no reduce the Master Numbers (11 and 22).

Let’s look at an example:

Name: Tom Andrew Barnett

  6          1        5                  1      5
___   + ________    +        ________               = 18/9 Soul Urge

  6             6                           6

TOM     ANDREW            BARNETT

In the example above, Tom Andrew Barnett has a Soul Urge Number of 9.
